The family comedy Les Cadeaux, with its cast of actors as captivating as they are brilliant, features an endearing family who get together every year for the festive season. Ever since their children were small, Françoise and Michel have loved watching their three little ones open their presents. Over the years, each child’s reactions and expressions change as they grow up, but there’s no doubt that Christmas has a special flavour for this family…

In 2023, the children have grown up and become adults. Julie (Mélanie Doutey), the eldest, has a well-ordered life and leaves nothing to chance. She has been married for seven years to Adrien (Gringe), a teenager, with whom she has had Juliette, their only daughter aged 7. Then there’s Charlotte (played by Camille Lellouche), a hardened bachelor, a waitress in a brasserie and a bon vivant. Finally, there’s Jérôme (Max Boublil), a brilliant lawyer with a flamboyant streak, who has just met a young singer he wants to introduce to the whole family. Will Christmas live up to the expectations of this fun-loving family? And will everyone be able to enjoy themselves as they did in the good old days?

Inspired by the codes of the films Love Actually and Le Prénom, this is a comedy in which the enchanting time of family reunions can turn into a delicate maze of emotions and relationships to unravel. Les Cadeaux is due to hit the big screen across France on 25 December. 🎦

We follow Julie, her husband Adrien and their daughter Juliette on a Christmas shopping trip. With the festive season just around the corner, it’s high time to start shopping for presents! And for Julie, it’s all about sticking to the list to be efficient, unlike Adrien, who likes to indulge in Christmas distractions, which is not the least irritating for Julie…

But in the midst of all this frenzy, Christmas shopping turns sour and the little family gets into an argument right in the middle of the shopping centre. Everyone’s disagreements and unexpected encounters quickly turn the shopping day into a nightmare. The argument even takes a turn for the worse when our two heroes engage in a verbal joust that only they know the secret of.

Luckily for Juliette and her parents, there’s a well-deserved stop-off at the Waffle Factory on the way home. And what better way to put a smile back on everyone’s faces than with a sweet break over a delicious, comforting waffle?
